We’ve already experienced the downfall of human moralitywith “Girls Gone Wild.” Now, Mantra Entertainment hasaccelerated society’s downward spiral with the release of”Guys Gone Wild.”
Ed Board considers this to be a step forward for equality and afew hops back for morality. It’s nice to see the producers ofMantra take advantage of intoxicated frat boys instead of directingtheir cameras below the necklines of sorority girls.
As reported on today’s front page, unlike “GirlsGone Wild,” the all-male DVDs will show no homosexualactivity, which would be unattractive, according to Bill Horn,Mantra’s director of public relations.
“We can discuss sexuality until we’re 150 yearsold,” said Horn. “But girl-on-girl action is consideredsexy by heterosexual men. [Guy-on-guy], however, simply isn’tsexy in our society — and that’s just thereality.”
Who says it’s not sexy? Go down to the gaybourhood and askthat same question. If Mantra is really trying to make this acomparable version of the boob-bearing softcore porn series, thesame shenanigans should take place. Ed Board thinks it’sabout time females got a little revenge.
However, it’s much easier to ask unsuspecting females toflash a camera in public than it is to ask a guy to flaunt his junkat a crowded bar or club. Not to mention he’d probably getthrown out and arrested for indecent exposure. This DVD project hadto be carefully organized to achieve the eye-popping, jaw-droppingand sometimes shockingly embarrassing footage.
According to the front-page article, at one point in the video,a surprisingly articulate southern guy was convinced to shave hischest, stomach and pubic region in the shower with the curtainopen, all the while speaking conversationally about his mother withthe girls working the camera.
It’s also worth noting that most girls who watch the DVDsaren’t watching it for sexual enjoyment. They’rewatching it for a laugh or two.
Although the SMU girls who watched the “film”didn’t think of the movie as anything more than an unrefinedsource of humor, all four found it in themselves to sympathize withone guy’s manhood — or lack thereof.
“I’m such a [expletive], but that’ssad,” one student said.
“Why would he allow himself on a video like that?”another questioned.
“[The girls behind the camera] are just making fun of him. They’re like, ‘Show me how small your penis is.’I feel bad for him,” they said.
Ed Board feels it’s about time girls got some laughs afteryears of exploiting their bodies in exchange for a lousy T-shirt… although it does make you wonder what they give guys.
