Legos: we can all safely say we played with them growing up.
Building mystical dragons, the Star Wars Death Star and Harry Potter castles were all a part of the fun.
Now, Legoland Discovery Center of Dallas is letting adults do just that: relive their childhood memories.
For all those passionate Lego fans, every last Monday of the month is dedicated to adults.
The beauty of it: no kids allowed. Share the fun with others who are just as excited to build the next Empire State Building.
The monthly adult nights revolve around a different theme where adults can let their creativity go wild.
Sometimes adults lose sight of that growing up, but now it’s time to be a kid again.
Exclusive adult nights are on the last Wednesday of every month.
Events include:
Sept. 24: A Star Wars themed night. The best-dressed Princess Leia or Darth Vader there will receive $3 off admission. Lego goers can bring their own Star Wars models to the event to showcase their mastery.
Oct. 29: Adults will be in for a “Brick or Treat” where they will learn how to build their very own jack-o-lanterns out of Legos. There will also be a costume contest for the people who attend.
Nov. 26: Enjoy the “Holly Jolly Holidays” event and spend time making some Lego holiday goodies.
Dec. 31: Ring in the New Year with friends and Legos at the “Hello 2013!” event.
Let’s face it, just because the box says that there are certain age limits doesn’t mean adults have to stop there.
Let your inner child out and see if your Lego building skills are still there.
Try to build Lego works of art or simple square- shaped cars.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Dallas Fort Worth is located on Grapevine Mills Parkway.
Admission for adults is $19 and $15 for children over the age of three. Children under the age of three get in free. Tickets can be bought online for a discounted price at www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com.
