For the first time ever, REVOLVE will host an award show sponsored by E! to thank the influencers that drive their sales. According to Women’s Wear Daily, influencers are responsible for 70 percent of the sites revenues. The #RevolveAwards will take place Thursday, Nov. 2 at Dream Hollywood. A winner will be selected from categories including YouTube Channel of the Year; Best Influencer Brand; BFFs of the Year; Best Beauty Influencer; Brand of the Year; #Couplesgoals of the Year and Influencer of the Year. The public nominated their favorite influencer on Revolve.com.
As an avid fashion and beauty-blogger follower, I voted online for my top picks which include Negin Mirsalehi as Influencer of the Year and Jen Atkin for Beauty Influencer of the Year. Negin Mirsalehi is a glamorous Dutch blogger with 4.3 million Instagram followers. She has been featured on Esquire’s “Women We Love of Instagram” and as the cover star of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. Recently, she designed a watch in collaboration with CLUSE to reflect her personal style. She told Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, “I’ve always been curious about different people and cultures, which often inspires the way I dress.” Her worldly knowledge and impeccable style make her a remarkable candidate for the awards.
For the Beauty Influencer of the Year category, I chose the beloved celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkins. The celeb gained fame by styling the Kardashians’ hair among other stars including Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Lorde, Bella and Gigi Hadid, along with Gwen Stefani for the cover of Vogue. In 2014, she launched her digital magazine Mane Addicts. Shortly after, she launched her own haircare line Ouai in 2016. As one of the most in-demand hair stylists, it would be wrong not to award her Beauty Influencer of the Year.
