The SMU men’s basketball team announced its schedule Tuesday. The Mustangs open up the season with an exhibition against Houston Baptist University at Moody Coliseum on Nov. 4.
SMU starts its regular season in a round-robin tournament in Tallahassee, Fla. Nov. 12-14.
The non-conference schedule also features road games against Oklahoma and rival TCU.
The Conference USA season starts at home against the University of Southern Mississippi.
The Mustangs will then hit the road to face the University of Houston and the University of Central Florida.
The toughest tests for SMU will take place in late January and early February when the Mustangs travel to the University of Tulsa, the University of Alabama-Birmingham and the University of Memphis.
The Mustangs return nine players to the roster including freshman standout Bamba Fall. Fall, now a sophomore, went through some eligibility issues but worked hard in the off-season to regain eligibility.
SMU will have four seniors on their 10-man roster. Donatas Rackauskas, Brian Epps, Ike Ofoegbu and Devon Pearson.
SMU also brings back junior Jon Killen who has played in every game the past two years.
The Mustangs will look to rebound from a disappointing season last year.
