The Mustangs gave Florida State a run for their money Tuesday night, taking a one-point lead into halftime and leading through much of the second half.
It was with just over eight minutes left that FSU took a 41-39 lead. The Mustangs countered to tie the game at 41, but the Seminoles began to take control, and won 59-52.
In the end the Seminoles proved too much for the Mustangs as fatigue set in.
The three games in three days wore on the Mustangs, as their defense that only allowed 25 points in the first half, allowed 34 in the second half, while the Mustangs only managed 26 in each half.
The Mustangs will open up at home next weekend against Dayton.
