I’m writing to recognize the recent retirement of Betty Chauvin. Through her years working in the Dedman College Dean’s office, she has touched the lives of countless students. I was one of many out-of-state students who enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner thanks to Betty’s hospitality; providing a bit of family to those far from home is just one of many ways Betty has helped SMU students to enjoy college life and succeed. The campus will miss her SMU spirit; best wishes in her retirement. – Bill Crean, SMU Alum 1997
