Heart Health Awareness Takes Dallas

The annual walk for heart health, The Dallas Heart Walk, will be taking place in downtown Dallas at the base of Reunion Tower on September 14 at 8:30 a.m. The walk serves as a fundraiser to raise money for the American Heart Association.

Individuals and teams will walk for miles with the goal of raising $6.5 million to fight heart disease and stroke. So far, they have raised $4.6 million toward their goal.

The event will have people from all over the DFW area walking either the 5k or the Miracle Mile to show their support. The route loops round the Historic Downtown Dallas. You can register online on the American Heart Association website to be able to walk, and there is an option to donate. The AHA expects a good turn out for 2019 with lots of food, booths, and mingling. Make sure arrive early because check-in begins at 6:30 a.m.
