After a convincing win over the University of North Texas on Nov. 6, the women’s swimming and diving team heads to Houston this weekend to compete in the Cougar Classic Fall Invitational.
Against the Mean Green, SMU took 11 of the 13 events and cruised to a 143-96 win, their second victory of the year over UNT.
The win over UNT was the Mustangs’ first head-to-head match up of the year. Previously, the team came in first at the Mean Green Relays in Denton before placing fourth at the SMU Classic in late October.
Of the eight teams participating in the Cougar Classic, three are from Conference USA, including SMU, Tulane and the host, University of Houston.
The Cougar Classic Fall Invitational begins Friday and runs through Sunday at the University of Houston’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
