Dr. Alessandra Comini, Distinguished Professor of Art History, gave a lecture entitled “Alma Mahler and Her Vienna: Of Mixed Marriages, Anti-Semitism, and Cancelled Careers” at the Meadows Museum on Tuesday. The lecture, sponsored by the art history department and the Wagner Society, focused on composer Alma Schindler Mahler-Gropius-Werfel, a composer in imperial Vienna just before World War I who was often overshadowed by her three husbands.
