Women get Tulane rematch tonight

Ask and ye shall receive.

After suffering a painful 71-58 loss to Tulane on Senior Day, several SMU players said they were itching for a shot at vengeance.

Tonight they get just that.

Tulane advanced to the second round of the C-USA tournament after soundly defeating UCF 69-52.

Tulane junior forward and Dallas native Jennifer Sands led Tulane with 17 points.

In regular season play, SMU split with Tulane. Each team won on the other’s home court. At SMU, Sands led all scorers with 24. At Tulane, SMU’s Janielle Dodds set a career high with 27 points. Tip off is set for 8:30 p.m.
