SMU men’s golfer Colt Knost and SMU women’s golfer Kate Ackerson each received C-USA Golfer of the Week honors for tournament play through March 20.
Knost, a senior, tied for second at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate Classic earlier this week, finishing one-under-par. This is the senior’s fourth Golfer of the Week award this season.
Ackerson earned her second Golfer of the Week honor of the season for her performance at the 34th Annual Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin. The sophomore placed fifth shooting a 222 (78-73-71) on the par-72, 6,323-yard University of Texas Golf Club. This is the sixth Golfer of the Week honor for the women and the fifth for the men’s squad this season.
