The boulevard isn’t just a place to get together and celebrate college football. It’s also the perfect place for students to display the latest trends in fashion and show off their statement red, white and blue pieces.

SMU’s student group, Boulevard in Style, recently presented its Back to School Fashion show at Pouf Blowout’s studio on Mockingbird Lane. The 20 or so people in attendance sipped on champagne and cheered on the seven SMU student models as they strutted down the runway and showed off some of this year’s best boulevard inspired attire, including red and blue dresses, rompers and cowboy boots.

The event, which offered attendees free braided hairstyles and a 20 percent discount coupon to Monalee, a fashion boutique in Snider Plaza, was put on to promote the group’s Instagram account for the upcoming boulevard season.
