Students and teachers slowly trickled in and out of the M Lounge at Hughes-Trigg Student Center for the TEDxSMU Open House today. Some came for the free pizza, pens and candy but most stayed to hear about upcoming TEDx events.
Coordinator Christine Pearson informed students about the many ways they can get involved and even become a TEDxSMU conference speaker.
“Students are so intelligent and I think sometimes they don’t know how to get their message out,” she said.
The organization is meant to both empower and educate the SMU community through discussions, workshops and conferences. For more upcoming events, you can check out their calendar at www.TEDxSMU.org.
