Get ready to be afraid this Saturday night! SMU’s Global Medical Brigades is hosting a haunted house in the classrooms of McElvaney Commons.
Global Medical Brigades is a student-led global health organization that helps communities in low-income regions around the world.
While sitting at the organization’s table at the West Bridge, junior Reagen Rexford excitedly told interested students about the organization’s mission.
“We are going to Panama in August,” said Rexford, a business management and biology major. “The money is going toward medication and free healthcare.”
The organization will set up stations in Panamanian villages to treat the needy with medical and dental care with the help of physicians.
Students will be treated to food as well on the spooky night.
The haunted house will be from 9 p.m. to midnight on October 26.
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased for $5 at the Hughes-Trigg Crossing on Wednesday and at the West Bridge on Thursday and Friday. Students may also buy tickets at the door for $7.
