Apology requested
To the Editor:
After reading the past couple of articles pertaining to lastweek’s game, I would just like to say that I think you owethe sororities on campus an apology. It is very inconceivable thatour team lost the TCU game because of how some of the girls weredressed. It is also reflects poorly on our football team, collegelevel athletes who deserve respect, to say they are so distractedsimply by what a section of the fans look like. Also, there is noreason to refer to your fellow students as “$2hookers.” First, you should have been taught better respectfor them than that. And second, since when does anything at SMUcost only $2? In the future, I must respectfully request that ifyou feel the need to talk about the games, you not scapegoat peopleand try more positive and encouraging tactics to improve the SMUcommunity. Flaming people in print gets you nowhere and lowerspeople’s opinions of you.
