The Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) recently dubbed The Guildhall at SMU one of the finalists in the Tech Titan of the Future category in its 8th Annual Tech Titans and Fast 50 Awards contest.
The MTBC introduced the Tech Titans Awards in 2001. Judges for the contest are selected from “a variety of disciplines in technology, leaders in the DFW area and past winners,” according to an SMU press release. The contest honors North Texan information technology companies and individuals who have added to the technology industry both locally and in general.
The MTBC will announce the winners of the Tech Titans Awards on Sept. 26 at the Marriott Legacy Town Center in Plano.
SMU first offered students its digital game development education program in July 2003. The Guildhall now offers a graduate professional certificate, a Master’s degree in interactive game technology and a five-year dual Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Bachelor’s degree in fine arts and Master’s degree in digital game technology.
