The SMU women’s golf team is traveling to Erie, Colo. to compete in the Heather Farr Memorial Invitational, hosted by University of Colorado, Oct. 5-6.
The Mustangs have not had much success this season, finishing 16 of 18 at the Golfweek Conference Challenge and 15 of 15 at the Badger Invitational.
Head coach Todd Selders has been working with his team to improve important facets of their game before the trip.
“We’re spending some time on the middle game and then we’re going to go practice it,” Selders said. “It’s so important in all sports, but in golf, it’s one of the most vital issues to be aware of.”
After the Heather Farr Memorial, the Mustangs have one more invitational in the fall before starting up in the spring.
