Part of first floor of Fonder Library closes

Fondren Library’s first floor Science Information Center (SIC) is closed through Nov. 2 as part of the library’s renovation project. The renovations to the SIC will include new sprinkler system will be installed in the SIC and bookshelves will be rearranged, said Fondren User Experiences Librarian Hollie Gardner.

Gardner said that the entire library will get new sprinklers, so every section of the library will close at some point between now and July 2016 for sprinkler instillation. Fondren’s West Stacks permanently closed in late August and will not reopen for study space.
