Simmons School is announcing the “Settle Your Glitter” information session on Oct. 14, but it is not clear if the event will take place. When contacted by the Daily Campus, officials were not aware that the event was publicized on their website.
The information session would encourage teachers to help children in grades as low as kindergarten manage their emotions and reduce behavior struggles. The SEL classroom, or social and emotional learning techniques, would “encourage children to feel valued and connect learning in the classroom with a positive experience,” according to the website.
If interested in the event or to find out more information, contact the Simmons School of Education at (214) 768 – 2346.
