With the presidential campaigns well underway for the 2016 election, all eyes will be on the Republican candidates Wednesday night for the second GOP debate.
Eleven presidential contenders will be battling out at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif. The candidates include Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, John Kaisch.
The debate will spotlight issues on foreign policy, but viewers can look forward to an inevitable showdown between Trump and debate-newcomer Fiorina. Trump recently mocked Fiorina’s appearance in a “Rolling Stone” interview, and she shot back with a female empowerment video.
The debate is set for 8 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday on CNN.
SMU students can tune into the event at a watch party hosted by the Political Science Symposium and the Honors Program. For more information on the event, visit their Facebook page.
