Date auction
The National Society of Black Engineers held a date auctionWednesday night.
The members will use the proceeds to go to their fall and springnational and regional conferences.
The highest-selling date was with Braunshay Pertile, afirst-year biomedical engineer.
Shetoria Matthews, a second-year psychology major, purchased adate with Pertile for $100.
The second-highest date sold for $65. Fredricka Johnson , asecond-year accounting major, will be spending time with RicoHarris, a senior sociology major.
Other dates ranged from $8 to $13.
