Volleyball loses first game of season

The Mustangs fell to 6-1 in the season with a three-sets-to-two loss to Stephen F. Austin last night in Nacogdoches.

The Mustangs entered the game undefeated, winning both the SMU Invitational and the Texas Tech Invitational, with the biggest win being a four-set victory over the Red Raiders.

The Mustangs were led by Rachel Giubilato on offense with 22 kills and was second on the team with 17 digs. Kathryn Wilkerson led the team with 19 kills and Stefanie Kons had 17.

The Mustangs will try to get back to their winning ways this weekend at the SMU Radisson Invitational held at Moody Coliseum.
