It’s been a quiet couple of years, but Coldplay will finally be taking a short tour this summer to showcase their new album, “A Head Full of Dreams.” The best part? The band has announced a stop at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on August 27.
Between a No. 1 album on iTunes, more than three million copies sold in the last two months, and the SMU student body excited about the band’s Dallas debut, it’s easy to see that Coldplay hasn’t lost its fan base. The last time the band went on tour was five years ago in support of its 2011 album, “Mylo Xyloto.” Already two albums behind, Coldplay has plenty of music to share in their upcoming show.
The band will perform at Superbowl 50 before making its appearance in major cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles throughout the summer. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m.
