There’s always something going on in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Here are five events to mark on your calendar this week:
1) The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo will take place Friday, Feb. 5 at the Will Rogers Rogers Memorial Center, featuring rodeo performances and animal exhibitions. Admission starts at $10.

2) The Galleria Dallas is hosting Decadence: Fashion from the 1920s. It opened Jan. 22 and will continue to be open to the public until Feb. 28. This exhibition is free and open daily between noon to 6 p.m.

3) If you’re looking for a good laugh on Thursday night, The Friends in Low Places Show at the Addison Improv starts at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission starts at $5.
4) The Mardi Gras Oak Cliff Parade is Sunday, Feb. 7 in the Bishop Arts District. Bishop Arts is always a fun area to go to for food and drinks. This Sunday will be especially enjoyable as people parade the streets and show off their best yellow, green and purple. The parade will start at 2 p.m. on Davis Street and head up to Windomere Avenue.

5) Dog lovers mark your calendars: Sunday, Feb. 7 is the Krewe of Barkus Dog Parade. Dogs will compete against one another for the cutest costume.The parade will take place in Downtown Mckinney from 12:30 to 4 p.m. If you are interested in signing your dog up, register here. The deadline for registration is Thursday, Feb. 4.
