New game day plan for students

The play on the field isn’t the only thing that will be changing this year. A new parking and ticket distribution plan has been put in place by the Athletic Department.

Students will now enter through Gate 6 and receive their ticket upon arrival by showing their student ID at the gate. Tickets will not be available until 90 minutes before kick off when the gates open.

The Athletic Department encourages students to arrive early as there is a limited number of seats available, but the same number of seats will be set aside as when tickets were available the week of the game.

Students must have their cars moved by 6 a.m. into designated student lots but are allowed to park in Moody and Airline garages on game day by showing their student IDs.

Faculty will also be allowed to park in the garages as well as the indicated locations. Faculty and staff members will also enter through Gate 6 and receive up to two tickets upon arrival, also by showing their SMU IDs.

The Boulevard will officially open three hours prior to game time and close 20 minutes before the game starts.

Monday’s game will be the first of nine televised games, aired on ESPN.
