An investigation is ongoing after two Democratic Dallas County commissioner candidates engaged in a heated argument at KHVN, a gospel radio station, Feb. 22.
Current Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price and former Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, were at the station participating in a debate with other candidates. The argument began during a commercial break and police were called.
Candidate Micah Phillips recorded a video of the incident. In the footage, Caraway is restrained and led to another room, all while shouting expletives at Price. He can also be heard threatening, “I’m gonna get you.”
Phillips spoke to WFAA’s Marie Saavedra regarding the incident.

Despite Phillips’ take, Caraway told WFAA that it was Price who began the argument and grabbed George Nash, a Caraway campaign staffer, by his neck.

The Scoop Blog from the Dallas Morning News reported that Caraway can be heard in the video saying that Price had sex with his wife, which Price denied in an interview with hip-hop and R&B radio station KKDA-FM.
Barbara Mallory Caraway, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress District 30 and Caraway’s second wife, told the Dallas Morning News‘ Naheed Rajwani that she is not the woman in question.

The primary election will be held March 1.
