The Temerlin Advertising Institute Speaker Series kicks off its 2016 season April 29 with a speech from a University of Missouri professor.
Dr. S. Ratneshwar will speak to students in Umphrey Lee Center from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. about why people connect to brands.
Ratneshwar researches brand management and has co-authored two books on consumer motives. Until 2014, Ratneshwar was the Department Chair for the University of Missouri’s Department of Marketing and he is currently on the editorial review boards for the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Consumer Psychology.
His talk will focus on consumer motives, goals, and desires when it comes to brands as well as why people chose certain brands over others.
