The Pulitzer Prizes’ Centennial, which includes a June symposium hosted by the Bush Center, inspired SMU journalism students to explore the award-winning stories won by North Texas journalists. In the spirit of the Dallas area’s most recent Pulitzer winner, the Dallas Morning News‘ North-South Gap project, we profile ongoing efforts by SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts to engage communities in southern Dallas.
