A CVS Pharmacy employee reported an aggravated robbery to University Park Police at 4 a.m. on June 24, according to an SMU Aware press release.
Two suspects, female and male, with a gun entered the CVS located on 3012 Mockingbird Lane and stole money from a cash register.
The first suspect is described as a black female in her mid-to-late 20s with short hair, around 5’5-7′ and weighing around 180 to 200 pounds. It was reported she wore dark clothing. The other suspect is described as a black male in his mid-to-late 20s, around 5’9-6′ and weighing 150 to 170 pounds. The report states he wore light-colored shorts and hooded sweatshirt.
No customers were in the store at the time of the incident.
The male suspect was seen driving a newer-model red Dodge pickup with chrome rims and exited eastbound on Mockingbird toward Central Expressway, according to SMU Aware.
This is the fifth reported robbery around SMU’s campus since April.
Two cases of aggravated robbery were reported on April 17 and April 23, attempted robbery was reported on April 21 and robbery was reported on May 6. University Park Police do not believe these cases are linked.
So far, the only suspect arrested for these incidents is Demarcus Cortez Brown, involved in the robbery of three SMU students and one parent on April 17.
University Park Police are currently investigating this case. Anyone with information on this matter is asked to contact University Park Police Department or the SMU Police Department.
