If you won’t be a part of the estimated 25 million people flying home for the Thanksgiving holiday, don’t worry about not being able to enjoy Thanksgiving – staying here for the Holiday doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to celebrate the season.

To help you find the appropriate celebration for Thanksgiving, we’ve created a list to give you several options for the holiday.

If you want to dine out:

– Princi Italia, located on Royal Lane, will be open from noon to 9 p.m. with a three-course Thanksgiving menu for $38.

– Eddie V’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal for $36.

– Del Frisco’s will also be open on Nov. 24 from noon to 8 p.m. serving a three-course Thanksgiving dinner for $49.

If you want to stay in:

– Host a Friendsgiving: gather all your friends who are also staying in Dallas and host your own Thanksgiving meal, potluck style. Get everyone to bring their favorite dish, turn on the Cowboys game and maybe throw a football around.

If you want to go out:

– If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Dallas Arboretum, it opened its annual “Holiday at the Arboretum” on Nov. 6. Its “12 Days of Christmas” theme can be viewed Wednesday through Sunday evenings.

– The Texas Christkindl Market offers a unique German-infused event for the holidays, opening on Nov. 25. It is one of the largest open-air holiday markets, located in Arlington and offering gifts, live entertainment, activities, and holiday food and beverages.

If you want to give back:

– There is no time like the holiday season to give back to those in need. Operation Turkey is an organization that feeds and clothes the homeless and the less fortunate on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to noon. Last year it hand delivered more than 30,000 meals. Sign up here.
