SYZYGY: Unsilent Night

SYZYGY, SMU Meadows contemporary music ensemble, will be performing Christmas-themed works under Lane Harder, director. This is a piece by Phil Klein and presents a unique experience as the members walk throughout campus. This event is free and open to the public.
The Nutcracker
Texas Ballet Theater, Winspear Opera House

A classic in the theatre world, Ben Stevenson’s version of “The Nutcracker” brings the tale to life at the Winspear Opera House. Perfect for the entire family, “The Nutcracker” tells the story of Clara, the goddaughter of Herr Drosselmyer, as she receives a beautiful nutcracker as a gift as she embarks on a magical Christmas journey. Grab your tickets fast, the show is only running through Dec. 4.
A Christmas Carol
Wyly Theater, AT&T Performing Arts Center
Through Dec. 28
Another Christmas classic, “A Christmas Carol” embodies a more mature plot line than that of “The Nutcracker,” however, it is still appropriate for all age groups. Running through Dec. 28, this musical is an adaptation of the original story by Charles Dickens in 1843. It remains an influential Christmas tale that brings people back to the true meaning of Christmas and family.
A Drag Queen Christmas
House of Blues, Dallas

“A Drag Queen Christmas” will bring the sass to Dallas’ House of Blues on Dec. 21. The stars of the hit TV show, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” are on the road, hosting a variety of Christmas shows that leave the audience in surprise and full of laughter through a mix of cabaret and comedy as they perform favorite holiday songs of past and present.
