SMU’s rowing team took second overall at the Midwest Intercollegiate Championships held this weekend in Norman, Okla.
The Novice Four crew won their race in the A race and finished second in the B race. The Varsity Eight also won their race and placed third in the second Varsity Eight race.
The Mustangs also picked up second place finishes in both of the Varsity Four competition.
In the total team competition the Mustangs finished second to Tulsa. With a score of 108, SMU lost by three points to the Golden Hurricane, and defeated Murray State and Creighton, who tied for third, by nine points. Drake finished fifth with Oklahoma City in sixth.
