Fire Alarm, 10:51 a.m., Delta Gamma House (3120 Daniel Ave.): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and determined the alarm was caused by steam from the shower. The fire panel was reset and UPFD cleared with no further incident. Closed.

Fire, 6:29 p.m., Moore Hall (5906 Hillcrest Ave.): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. It was determined it was caused by smoke from cooking. UPFD reset the alarm and cleared with no further incident. Closed.

Fire Alarm, 9:19 a.m., Delta Delta Delta House (3100 University Blvd.): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and determined the alarm was unfounded. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared. At approximately 9:48 AM another fire alarm was received and it was determined the fire panel was malfunctioning. Closed.
Criminal Mischief, 9:59 a.m., Sigma Alpha Epsilon House (3005 Dyer Court): A staff member reported paint damage to the front steps and lion statues. The damages occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on January 13 and 8 a.m. on January 14. Open.
Theft/Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, 4:35 p.m., Delta Delta Delta House (3100 University Blvd.): Five students reported theft of their jackets containing other personal items. The theft occurred on January 14 between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Open.
Fire Alarm, 11:39 p.m., Moody Parking Garage (3063 SMU Blvd.): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. UPFD arrived and found a sprinkler head activated for an unknown reason. No active fire or smoke was detected. UPFD turned off the water and shut off the circuit to the power supply. SMU Fire Safety Officer was notified and called a sprinkler repair technician to respond and repair the sprinkler. Closed.

Theft, 12:24 p.m., Boaz Hall Men’s Restroom (3200 Binkley Ave.): A student reported theft of his cell phone. The theft occurred on January 13 at approximately 11 p.m. Open.
Burglary of Vehicle, 1:42 p.m., West Quad Lot (3300 Peyton Parkway): A student reported her property was taken from her vehicle while parked. Open.
Fire Alarm/Failure to Evacuate during Fire Alarm, 1:40 p.m., Delta Delta Delta House (3100 University Blvd.): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and found an activated smoke detector with unknown cause. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident. A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for failure to evacuate during a fire alarm. Closed.
Fire Alarm, 11:03 p.m., Pi Kappa Alpha (3035 Dyer Street): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and determined a water flow in the sensor of the sprinkler room. UPFD turned off the water sprinkler system in order for the alarm to reset. SMU Fire Safety Officer was notified and the on call graduate housing director responded for a fire watch of the house. A fire alarm company responded to repair the system and the fire watch was relieved. Closed.

Fire Alarm, 10:32 a.m., Delta Delta Delta House (3100 University Blvd.): UPFD responded to an active fire alarm with no signs of fire, smoke or water. The fire panel indicated second floor zone 2. UPFD checked the area and determined an unknown cause for the alarm. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident. Closed.
Theft, 1:55 p.m., Lambda Chi Alpha (3004 Dyer Court Circle): A student who is a member of the house reported theft of three fraternity members’ composite pictures. The theft occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on January 15 and 9 a.m. on January 16. Open.

Theft, 2:06 p.m., McElvaney Hall Bike Rack (6000 Bishop Blvd.): A student reported theft of his bicycle. The theft occurred sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Open.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, 11:20 p.m., Off-Campus (3455 McFarlin): University Park Police issued a student a city ordinance citation for noise disturbance. The student was also referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking and for code of conduct violation. Closed.

Criminal Mischief/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, 2:03 a.m., Meadows Museum Parking Garage—1st Level, North Exit (5900 Bishop Blvd.): Two students were issued University Park citations for underage drinking. A gate arm was found damage and it is unknown who caused the damage. Closed.
Criminal Mischief, 2:15 a.m., Meadows Museum Parking Garage1st Level (5900 Bishop Blvd.): A student’s vehicle was damaged by an 8 ft. flood warning pole/sign which was found on the driver’s side window causing a crack on the front windshield. Scratches were also found on the rear right side of the vehicle’s truck. Open.
