MTV’s “The Real World” is coming to Dallas to look for the newest cast members. The event will take place at The Beagle on Greenville Avenue on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5p.m. “The Real World” is MTV’s longest running show, in which seven strangers are picked to live and work together and have their lives taped for five months.
The supervising casting director, Damon Furberg, said that they always try to go somewhere in Texas.
“It’s a great mix of both “All-American” types and diversity,” he said.
Jonathan Murray, an executive producer for “The Real World,” said that he looks for characters from real life.
“People with strong personalities who are unafraid to speak their minds,” he said.
Furberg advises applicants to come early and bring a photo, which will not be returned, and picture identification.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 24 to apply.
The next location for the city in which participants will live has not yet be disclosed.
Previous cities include Boston, Los Angeles and New York City.
So, get your pictures ready and your hair done and get ready to have your lives taped.
