An email sent by Provost Ludden this morning dispelled rumors that Spring Break would be cut short in order to make up for lost school days due to the icy weather last week.
In a statement to The Daily Campus, Ludden said Spring Break was never considered as an option for making up the missed days.
“We feel confident that faculty and students will work together to make up for lost class time,” Ludden said. “And, knowing that many students have already made plans for trips or alternative spring break projects, and that faculty may have research trips planned, the desire was not to cause them to have to change those plans.”
Spring Break will still be held from March 12 – 20. The provost will be communicating with members of the faculty in order to determine an appropriate time to make up the days.
