Tonight at 8 in the Hughes-Trigg theater, SMU’s Program Council will be offering a free screening of the animated film “Cars.” The movie, which tracks a racecar who gets lost on Route 66, will be the first in a series to be offered by the council. According to Program Council’s Public Relations Director Whitney Patterson, attendance to the first movie screening of the year usually varies, but students probably won’t have to worry about the theater filling up. The list of films for the rest of the year hasn’t been definitively set yet, she said, but if you’re interested in keeping tabs on it keep an eye out for posters and e-mail updates with the complete list and times.
