Greek briefs

SMU’s Web Page for Greek students has gotten a much-needed facelift. The www.smugreeks.com Web site has been redesigned and includes information about how to register for formal recruitment, as well as frequently asked questions for parents and students who are considering Greek life. The site includes information about SMU’s four Greek councils, Interfraternity, Multicultural Greek, National Pan-Hellenic and Panhellenic, and all of their member chapters.

Seven students from SMU’s Greek Community are traveling to Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana to participate in the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute.

UIFI is a program sponsored by the North-American Interfraternity Conference, a trade association comprised of 64 fraternities and sororities across the country.

According to the event’s Web site, the five-day seminar puts students from various Greek organizations and universities together “to explore, define, and enhance their leadership skills, personal awareness, commitment to their fraternity or sorority, and grow to expect values based action from themselves and those they lead.”
