Kudos to Student Senate
If SMU had “two percenters,” I would be one of them. However, I do read the Daily Campus and am awestruck by the amount of work that the Student Senate does. I once sat in on a senate meeting, and wrote off the whole thing as a way for students to enlarge their already impressive egos (cause are those name plates really necessary?) But in reading the constant coverage of the senate’s meetings and criticisms, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for these servants of our school. Kudos to you all for providing solid reasons for your changes in the budget allocations, opening up the “Special Interest seat scandal” to the rest of the campus and working hard regardless of the fact that nobody appreciates you. Seriously, thanks. Keep at it and eventually the student body will take notice, they may even run for one of those empty seats.
