Assault, 9:26 a.m., Law Parking Garage (3330 Daniel Ave.): A student reported her estranged husband assaulted her friend who is an SMU student. Open.

December 17

No criminal incidents or fire alarms reported.

December 18

Dec. 18, 2:18 a.m. Off-Campus (2800 SMU Blvd.): Dallas Police Department arrested and booked in a student in the Dallas County jail for driving while intoxicated. The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office. Closed.

Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia/Criminal Trespass Warning Issued, 4:11 a.m., Fincher Bldg (6212 Bishop Blvd.): A non-affiliated person was issued a University Park citation for possessing drug paraphernalia. Closed.

Theft, 3:40 p.m., SMU Bookstore/Barnes & Noble (3060 Mockingbird Lane): A staff member reported theft of textbooks by an unknown female. The theft occurred on Dec. 18 between 3:30 and 3:40 p.m. Open.

Criminal Mischief, 5:26 p.m., Park Cities Plaza (3000 Mockingbird Lane): A police officer reported damage to a brick wall in the alley. Open.

Fire Alarm, 11:52 p.m., Heroy Science Bldg. (3225 Daniel Ave.): University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm. It was determined burnt food activated the alarm. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with on further incident. Closed.
