After taking a 1-1 tie into halftime, the Mustangs came out strong in the second half, with forward Jena Lind registering her first collegiate goal a little more than three minutes into the half. Krystal Bailey’s goal followed less than 22 seconds later and resulted in the win. Freshman midfielder Carly Phillips also scored twice in the game.

The Mustangs dominated the game statistically, out-shooting ORU 21-14 and taking eight corner kicks to ORU’s none.

SMU will open its home schedule this Friday when rival TCU (1-1) comes to Westcott Field. Kickoff for the game is slated for 7 p.m. The Mustangs will also face the University of North Texas at 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free with a student ID.
