The Mustangs opened up their season at Moody Coliseum on Sunday night.
The Mustangs dominated the University of Texas-San Antonio 78-49.
SMU had a field goal percentage of 47 percent to go along with a 46 percent success rate from the three-point line.
The Mustangs were led by Sharee Shepherd who scored 16 points in SMU’s victory. Brittany Barker pulled down 13 rebounds, three offensive, to lead the team.
The Mustangs were also an impressive 82 percent from the free throw line.
The women take the floor against Sam Houston State on Friday night at Moody Coliseum.
