SMU Junior Lacey Jones received the C-USA Golfer of the Week honor this week for the second time in her career. She received the honor once last year in addition to receiving first team All-Conference accolades. Jones left the competition in the dust when she finished second at the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Championship at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn., last week. The Mustang golfer shot three over par, finishing with a 216 overall (67-73-76). Jones’ performance helped SMU finish ninth out of 15 in the tournament. The SMU women’s golf team heads to Honolulu, Hawaii, next week to participate in the Kent Youel Invitational.
