Mustangs compete for NCAA title

The men’s swimming team concludes its season this weekend in College Station, where they will compete in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The championships will be hosted at Texas A&M’s Student Recreation Center Natatorium.

The Mustangs have had decent luck in College Station this year, as they barely edged out the Aggies in a 122-121 victory on Jan. 30.

The Mustangs have had another successful season this year. In February, SMU won their fourth straight Conference USA title at the end of February. It was the 13th time the Mustangs have won the Conference USA Championship.

SMU went 5-2 in head-to-head matchups, with the only losses coming against No. 3 Texas in Austin and against No. 12 Georgia in Dallas.

Heading into this weekends competition, the Mustangs are ranked 18th in the most recent CSCAA Swimming rankings.
