The University Park Police Department is seeking information on an early morning robbery Wednesday outside the La Madeleine at Airline Road and Mockingbird Lane.

Two paint contractors said they were working on the outside of La Madeleine about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, when a gray Mitsubishi Montero pulled up to the curb. A passenger in the car stepped outside and pointed a rifle or shotgun at theand demanded their money.

The driver remained in the car while the gunman took one of the men’s wallets containing a small amount of cash. The robbers fled the scene, driving eastbound on Mockingbird to the Central Expressway access road and then turning southbound.

The victims described the robbers as Hispanic males in their early 20s and of average build. The gunman had a mustache and curly dark hair.
