Full House of Fashion

The SMU Retail Club Fashion Show was a stylish success this past Saturday.

It was “anything but business as usual” as student models dressed to impress, strutted down the runway in business best. Barney’s New York in NorthPark Center hosted and provided the apparel for the fashion fête.

Freshman Colby Kruger, co-chair and model, and was thrilled with the turnout.

“It turned out fabulous, I couldn’t have asked for anything better,” said Kruger. “All the models and everything were so professional.”

Freshman Brittany Sweeney hit the runway for the first time as a model and admits it was stressful but worth it.

“It was very nerve-wracking, but definitely an experience I can say I did,” said Sweeney.

Barney’s New York employees were also blown away with the talent and professionalism demonstrated by the Retail Club.

“I thought it was fantastic, we were just thankful that they chose Barneys to pick their clothing,” said Jessica Millek, the Women’s Designer Department Manager.

The show was a full house with record numbers of students coming out to the event for its first year off-campus.

“I was impressed, I didn’t really know what to expect and I really liked all the clothes,” said freshman Lana Grene.
