Austin City Limits is on for this weekend despite the expected hurricane, according to their website, www.aclfestival.com. The festival executives contacted meteorologists who advised them to wait 48 hours before landfall to determine which way the hurricane will go.
The current forecast calls mostly sunny weather for Friday, and a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain is predicted for Saturday and Sunday.
Festival executives are continuing to monitor the hurricane. The festival is working with the city of Austin to ensure that if anything were to happen, the fans, musicians and crew would be safe.
Some major acts this year include Oasis, Jet, Coldplay, Widespread Panic and Franz Ferdinand.
