The Mustangs battled for seventh place in the Conference USA Championship Tuesday at the par-72 Tulsa Country Club.
After three rounds of play, the Mustangs shot a total 1022. The women posted a 346, 339 and 337 during the tournament.
Senior Kate Ackerson was among the top six golfers after the final round on Tuesday. Ackerson shot a 78, 80 and 80 for a total 238.
The five SMU golfers competing in the tournament finished in the top 50. Next to Ackerson was freshman Kalie Presti. Presti tied for 30th place with a three-round total of 255.
Other finishers were Jennifer Hooper, Sarah Dodson and Elizabeth Wells.
Due to inclement weather on the scheduled first round Sunday, the first and second rounds were moved to Monday. The final 18-hole round was completed Tuesday afternoon.
The Mustangs took third last year in the conference championships with a three-round total of 932.
