Opinion Short

As I was wandering out of Clements Hall the other day, I noticed Coke Zero signs everywhere.  All of a sudden, a man popped out from behind a stand and offered me a free ice-cold Coke Zero. I usually don’t drink Coke Zero but I was somewhat thirsty, it was cold and it was free.

As a college student, anything that’s edible, safe, and free is almost as good as cash. So, of course I took one and went on to lunch.

Later on in the day, I really thought about the cleverness of the Coke Zero promotion.  If I were to be asked right now what my favorite soda is, I would probably say Coke Zero.  Why?  Because they came to my campus, gave me free cokes, and weren’t stingy about giving them out.  Maybe Pepsi or Dr. Pepper should think about doing this as well.

I usually drink water at Mac’s Place or Umphrey Lee, but in the future, I’ll probably get Coke Zero. Kudos to the promotion team at Coke Zero!
