It’s no secret that Bush has certainly received his fair share of criticism over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. But he defended his decisions at the recent Warrior Open.
The golf tournament, hosted by the George W. Bush Institute, was an effort to aid wounded veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
So what did the former President have to say about the wars? While many people would disagree, Bush hopes that in time history will prove the wars were worth fighting for.
Opinions may vary, but it is important to honor the veterans for their duty and service to our country. The golf tournament was a great tribute to the soldiers who all seemed proud to have served.
