Delta Gamma’s fundraising event, Designer Denim, took place Nov. 5 from 10 to 4 p.m. in Hughes-Trigg Ballroom East.
Every semester, Delta Gamma works with Charity Denim, a non-profit organization that offers designer denim at discount prices for charity events, to sell designer jeans and apparel for men and women on SMU’s campus.
The ballroom was lined with tables covered in designer jeans in many styles and sizes. Delta Gamma provided tents to try on the jeans as well as mirrors, and everyone was encouraged to browse through the wide selection.
All of the proceeds will go to Delta Gamma’s philanthropy, Service for Sight. Everyone was welcome to attend and the jeans and other apparel were offered at discounted prices. The jeans are from last season, enabling Delta Gamma to sell them at reduced rates.
“We are just happy to have this event on campus and that people buy their jeans here. Everyone seems to enjoy it,” Skyler Griffin, VP Foundation for Delta Gamma, said.
